I have a few 1/18th model cars and would like to get a rover P6 model but cant find one, does anyone know if these models are available or more likely never been made.

Not as such. There were some Chinese large scale plastic models built in the '60s that were about that size (give or take). they also did some in the 1/24 scale area at the same time. All are pretty hard to find now. Next up was the Outhouse models 1/24 scale resins built around the early 2000s. Also extremely hard to find.
There are also 1/10th scale RC car bodyshells available but they are just a one-piece molded plastic shell.
There may have also been some slot car bodies made of the factory V8 racer in 1/32 but I have only seen some pictures online. Not sure if they were actual production of just a couple of handbuilts.
There was a rumour around in the late 90s that Revell had measured up the Royal protection squad car with the intention of making a 1/18th die cast but this doesn't seem to have come about. :(
1/43 on the other hand...
 
Thats seems fairly definiive Al, I do know there are a lot of 1:1 scale cars :oops: I will get my coat.....
