A Trunk Wizard, that's a big earner if you can set up a production line, I'd buy one (if it was cheap).....

LOL - respect to Tom, the Wizard of the Lake - he was a brave man for getting in that boot. I turned up today in a very snaky mood - idiots at work annoying the crap out of me so poor old Tom got it both barrels today because of the perceived lack of progress on the green machine.

Fair play - he took it all in good spirit and fixed the broken lock on the blue car while I was there.

Did you ask him to check that the boot light goes off when the lid is down? :D

Dave

Yes I did - after asking him a few other questions:

  • When did you say my green car would be ready?
When did you say my green car would be ready?
When did you say my green car would be ready?

When did you say my green car would be ready?
Is the boot light lit right now, Tom?

Mmm.. I'm not the only one. "BOP" has been at my friend's garage for 2 years & 3 months now to get her inner sills done. At least one side has been completed so far.. :(

I'm probably one of the less 'hands-on' owners - minor adjustments with the aid of a Haynes manual is my limit so one of the many upsides of having long term projects in the garage is that little fixes like this never get billed for.

Whenever I see the word "free" in an offer - "free printer", "free holiday" I always read it again substituting the word "inclusive" for "free". If it still looks a good deal, I'll go for it, if not, I'll walk away.

With that in mind, I get enough 'freebies' included at Lake View to keep me happy.
