This car is being offered FREE to a good home. All that is required is that you arrange to collect it as it is currently SORNed, having no tax or MOT.
If absolutely necessary, delivery might be arranged within a reasonable distance but this will necessitate the use of a trailer so inevitably there will be a cost implication.
The car has been owned within the family since 1982 when it was bought from its first owner. At that time it had just 16000 miles on the clock. It still has done under 100,000 miles. It has done less than 500 miles since installation of new timing chains and a new clutch.
It has been lying in a garage for the last five years. Although the engine was running shortly before the garaging, it then decided not to respond to the key and the starter would not turn. This could be a faulty starter, starter solenoid or even simply a faulty wire. When it was pushed into the garage, with every intention of diagnosing the fault, it was left with Redex in the cylinders and the handbrake "off" to prevent seizing.
We have old MOT certificates together with bills for all servicing items, repairs etc.

The car is currently in Hall Green, Birmingham

You would't like the photos - I am stripping the car - it was really very rotten. The interior has gone to a forum member and should continue to be of use for years to come :) I'm looking at taking what I need from it - the engine is free to anyone that wants it - just come and get it - I'll even let you use my tools :)
Its a shame as the car has a lot of history and was clearly loved by its former owner. However I have kept him up to date with what is happening with it and I hope he's pleased knowing that it will help to keep other Rovers on the road.

good for you. better than it going to the crusher.
any decent dark brown furflex in it?? :)

Lol should have guessed you'd ask aboout that ;) sorry to say its a light beige colour - an exact match for that on my car - lucky for me :)
