Very interesting...!http://bringatrailer.com/2014/12/18/tvr-powered-rally-build-1970-rover-p5b-v8-coupe/

And understandably so. If i was forking out big gobfulls of cash for a car you would expect the seller to know something about the underpinnings of a car whose main claim to fame its ability to rally yet he knows squat all about it. His descriptions in my opinion are just fatuous.

Oh and PS I love the look of the car, and yes I do believe it has a lot going on under the hood so to speak from the little you can see from under the bonnet, but you would need a very serious look at the steering and suspension, if they are just standard then as a rally car it has O value.

Hi, I don't think it is lowered, It's on 16" Range Rover wheels with looks like 235/70/16"
tyres. So it is up about 1¼" on standard ride height, which I don't think it is because you
can see too much of the tyre.

Rover used to rally the 3 litres back in the day.

Hi Colin,

despite the big wheels / tyres it still looks way too low to me. Especially this sump guard will catch on just about everything.
I know that Rover entered rallies with P5s in the ealy '60s, i have even seen photos of them in the Acropolis rally, but this doesn't make them sucessful rally cars!

However this one seems rather more convincing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ywx92mM5Tk
