P5 rear box on P6 - Possibility to use.

Hello

Not having a P5 manual or car to view, can anyone confirm if the dual tail pipe rear exhaust box on the P5 can be 'modified' to fit a P6 V8.

I have seen one on a P6 but I don't know what was required to fit it. Maybe some re-welding or re-bending involved.
 
I have a P5 box in the garage & I'm pretty sure the box itself would have to be shortened to fit the p6, which seems like a lot of work just to have an extra pipe for show.
I haven't compared them though so could be wrong.
 
Thanks for the replies - thought it might be a hassle due to the absence of other P6s using them.

I would be interested however if it was just the bracketry that needed to be modified.
