p4 two door soft top

Does anyone know about this P4, found this picture on the web and would like know more about the conversion. Looks great with it's stretched bonnet etc.

That's what's called the Rover Marauder, there were only 15 or 16 made, one is known to be scrapped, and one is currently under restoration. There was only one Coupé, all the rest were convertible. They were based on P4's with the running gear - but that was about it. Because of the rarity of these cars, I'm probably right in saying your picture is of this car:

The Black and Silver one on the page is the prototype one. I'm a little disappointed that the page doesn't contain a picture of the FHC version, which is rather Bristol like; http://www.retro-speed.co.uk/CMS-Images ... 0coupe.JPG

Just to be clear, a Marauder is not a Rover. They used Rover parts extensively and the Co was owned by Rover luminaries but wasn't connected to the Rover Co Ltd.
