P.A.S. reservoir filter change

Hello fellow rover drivers,

i am planning to change the filter in the PAS reservoir when it is getting a bit warmer. Do i have to do something special or is it just the regular thing:
- open reservoir
- remove (probably unscrew) old filter
- put in new filter

Any dangers to avoid about air getting in the system or something like that?

Thank you for your help in advance - question may sound silly, but i am no car mechanic...

No special tools req'd. Undo the nut that retains the top cover, there is a spring underneath that pushes the cover upwards as you do, but often the cover seal sticks to the reservoir so needs gently prising off. Then change the filter and refit the top, and top up the fluid if needed. There shouldn't be any need to bleed the system as you won't be removing any of the fluid.

With the top cover sticking on I used a wooden hammer in the filler hole and gave it enough force to loosen it.

Sometimes the seal on the filter itself will stick inside the tank.
