This year the NW London, South Herts and Bucks Branch of the Rover P6 Club, otherwise known as the P6ers from the Case is Altered won a highly commended club stand award at this huge 3 day north London show. The award was presented to the stand master, Guy Valentino, in the Show’s main Arena. Guy, still a member of the P6ers from the Case is Altered, had kindly come down from where he now lives in Norfolk to act as Stand Master for the 3 day Bank Holiday Weekend.

Here are some photos of the event including one of Guy accepting the cheque. More photos will be added in due course.

We have other outings like this one . Our outings for 2015 are published and updated regularly so keep a regular eye on the Classic Rover Forum. The events list was updated on 26 May 2015.

I think the picture above sums up perfectly the reason why I stopped going.

The autojumble used to be so packed with things to look at and buy it would take at least a whole day to get round it, now they can barely fill all the pitches, and the one above is becoming the exception, at least selling car parts (albeit not a lot of them), when most of the others are garden ornaments or bootsale tat.

Sad but true.

We did go on Sunday, took Bruiser to the RSR stand. It is a far cry from the days when our family used to run a stall there for the weekend when the autojumble was rammed & heaving with visitors.
Apart from the rise of the internet, I put a lot of the blame on the demise of the beer tent & the evening entertainment in the marquee for the jumblers. Some great evenings were had in there.

Other factors such as the LEZ will be in the equation too.

Back in the days when it was an unmissable show. I used to go on all 3 days and still not see everything. Seeing that youtube clip reminded me what we're missing.

My memory's not what it was (nor is anything else) - which year was it rained off? The ground was like putty and it cost Enfield & District a small fortune in restitution.
Some time around the Millenium, I think.

I was there on Monday, didn't take the Rover as I was not booked in.
I will agree what a great show, loads of auto jumble was able to pick up a few bits
For the rover and some loverly cars to see including many Rovers.
Put it in your diary for next year well worth visiting.

2006. We slipped & slithered across the field to the jumble with the caravan on the Friday, got set up & in between then & the death, managed to cover our costs.

What a difference, that's how I remember it.

How shortsighted & bloody-minded not to have exempted the steamed vehicles from the LEZ. As if they would make an iota of difference to air quality in London (exept perhaps improving it for a little while).

I don't think the steamers are banned, it was the lorries that transported them in that were prohibited.

That is right the lorries carrying them were banned and also the bigger autojumble lorries where the sides came down Neverthe less there was a reasonable amount of autojumble there this year . Not all anoraks etc!

did the saturday .as norma when there it rained!! agree wrong stalls there e.g. garden stuff .how is that connected to old cars? the jumble was not as good NEC centre one but still fond 2 items i wanted so not a complete loss. can't take my rover as its as normal, off the road waiting repairs .spares and a lottery win. :( but who knows maybe pig will fly one day and it will be back on road lol.
the fair wasn't abad idea and steam engines would be nice and attract more. I guess cost of getting there and entry etc are having a negative effect on things these days as purse strings getting squeezed .
