Hi all,

I have managed to aquire a V8 Oil cooler in reasonable condition from a friend. Can anyone tell me if this is worth fitting, and if it is a valueable piece of equipment to fit. Can anyone tell me , in simple terms, how to fit this on my 3500 Auto, if it is difficult or relatively simple? Is it worth it?

Thanks ,

Speedy :D

Hello Speedy,
Your V8 auto should have an oil cooler built into the radiator which cools the transmission fluid. I guess the oil cooler that you have obtained is meant for the engine oil.
For normal road use an oil cooler is not necessary and for general towing (caravan, boat etc) probably not necessary either. If preparing the car for racing or rallying then an engine oil cooler would be one of the many things you would be considering. Hope this helps. Others may advise differently.
Regards, John.

Does anyone want it then? I don't know if it works and it has no fittings, but there must be someone who wants/needs it!!

Speedy :)
