New Wiper Motor Operating Issues

Hi All

This is an odd one ,I have recently fitted a refurbed wiper motor ,as the old one siezed solid :shock: but when the new one is operated the wipers do not park properly ,and do not operate correctly ,it is almost as if the motor is for a left hand drive car ,I think that if I could reverse the wiper arms it would work perfectly :roll: has anyone had a similar problem ?

Yes I did ,there must be something I have not put back right ,but I am stumped as to what it is ,the motor runs fine ,but the wiper arms just don't sweep in the area of the windscreen !

Hi, try taking the wiper arms off the spindles and operating the wipers then let them
park, you may have to hold one of the spindles to give resistance to stop it overunning
the park position. Then replace arms. If the spindles are parking with the arms upright
then you could have the wheel boxes upside down. Hope this helps!

It was the wheel boxes ,I had mounted them upside down :roll: all works fine now
