Hi all,
I'm a recently joined joint member, I have a 1968 series 1 2000TC and the better half has a 1972 2000SC.
I recently got the series 1 as a swap for another classic car, it has stood for a number of years and the tinworm has got the better of the bootfloor and door bottoms, it has also lost a few bits along the way( grille badge, carb throttle butterfly return springs etc) but overall it is a sound car, it runs well despite the stinking old fuel.
I was wondering if anyone out there could help me with tracing some of the history of the car, the chassis number is 41517556 B. Reg No TYR232F. It is in zircon blue with a black leather interior. also it has a mark on the roof where a blue flashing light may have once been and marks on the rain gutters where spotlights once were, was told by the previous owner it was an ex police car but I'm not so sure. It also has a number in the boot under the rubber matting, not sure what that relates to though.
Is there any sites or books relating to the details I require? Any info would be greatly appreciated,
thanks all.
