Mmmm Almond - that will give you special privileges .
There is an underground movement of P6 owners with the coveted Almond colour . Secret hand shakes and certain ways of wearing your hat . We have to be careful that you are a genuine Almond car owner . Sone ringers do a cheap spray job over a different colour , just so they can be in this exclusive wing of the forum .
Welcome Monica .
You will find this forum very friendly and informative .

Welcome Monica,

Good to see you posting on here after the FB exchanges.

Looking forward to seeing progress on your S over the coming months!

If you're free on August 10th and fancy a day out, why not have a trip up to Blenheim?

A good chance to meet all the usual suspects...yep, might even be some Almond conspirators there  !....and have a chat in glorious surroundings.

Cheers,

Stan

Thank you all for your warm welcome and personal messages. I will get around to answering the individual messages.

I have been warned about the need for pics. I'm a bit loathe to take pictures as it is ~ it is certainly looking a mess after standing in the open in a farm for a while.
I had it stored in a barn on a farm and was paying a nominal rent for the privilege. The owner has obtained planning permission for a conversion, the car was put outside without my knowledge and by the time I got to know and went to see it, I was really downhearted.

I had another P6 ~ 3500 auto in almond (UVJ 404J) but it was stolen and I never heard anymore about it from the police.

I don't have anywhere else to put it yet and I want to find somewhere to work on it and bring it back up to scratch (it was never perfect in my ownership) but was a good clean useable car. I don't have much in the way of tools either (or free cash!) so it will be an imaginative time for me getting it done. I might even be forced out of retirement abd back to work to fund it at this rate.

Managed to find one random picture of my car from about 2011 I think. Sorry fb users ~ means you are seeing this twice (but not double).

I was showing the lad in the pic (Jack) how to use the power washer.

Don't be too enthusiastic with the water blaster especially round the lens assemblies.

But looking very good

Good luck with the work, there are many people who will help you with advice and perhaps elbow grease. I have owned mine since 1995 and I'm still working on it.!! It s in much better shape now thanks to hard work help and advice from wiser heads and determination. Start with a good clean up and then see if it will run. Very best wishes.
