Mr Jones Goes Driving

The Rover P6 Club is known for getting involved in some very diverse things to promote our beloved Rover P6 cars, but our latest adventure to be released is probably one of the strangest things and believe or not, but you won't see a P6 however you will hear one and it is key to the production.
Well, some time ago, the RP6C was involved in the production of a BBC Radio 4 afternoon play. The play is called 'Mr Jones Goes Driving', and stars Richard Briars as the principle character 'Johnny Jones' and is centred around him and his Almond 3500, (for those of you listening on a black & white radio). It is to be aired for the first time on Monday 7th March 2011 at 1415hrs. More details are available at http://www.p6club.com/node/322

Should be good.

Mark,
thanks for the info. Although I shall be at work next Monday afternoon, I am hoping it will be availabe on BBC's Website to "Listen Again" later that day. If the BBC borrowed a member's car to record some authentic P6 noises and allow the playwright to become acquainted with genuine P6, that's quite impressive attention to detail.

Unlike Holloywood! Shocking dubbing horrors even in block busters, like in Terminator2 where a two stroke engine noise dubed over the young John Conner's Honda XL 100 get away bike, it's a four stroke single!

Sorry, i'll get my anorak..... ;)
