Most essential tool

My favourite tool will be (when I get one) one of those tools for pushing brake pistons back in to callipers. It is a sort of screw thread with two flat plates on. The number of times I have struggled pushing pistons back with the wrong tools is countless!

As a relative newbie to removing/replacing brake pistons I find G-cramps very suitable for this task.

Not got one  Is that one of those executive stress relievers?

Did think of hooking it up to the mains , or trying to put the washing machine motor into it !

Minor drift alert.....

I remember seeing a movie where the "heroine" stuck a pair of sneakers in the washer and then sat on top of it on spin cycle...
Couldn't vouch for it's effectiveness, though...

Normal service resumes.....

Not to good with electric . Could turn into a disaster ! May try the washing machine , some of my mates swear by it !

as a sensitive guy with an eye for technique and sublety i have just discovered the joy of using a 3' length of scaffold pole
it never rusts and can handle a multitude of tasks from freeing wheels, brakes to straightening starter motor spindals (it happened!)
and it was free!
merry xmas

Excellent when used for a breaker bar on VW combi hubs.
I have also seen a length used for stressing a point in an arguement.........

Its got to be 3M synthetic wire wool for me. when it gets worn out its good for cleaning oily hands too.
I clean my oily hands with used cooking oil then wash off with liquid soap works a treat
It might seems odd cleaning off oil with oil but it does work and its free 8)

Interesting idea, must try that.
I normally use a squirt of dish washing liquid and a tablespoon of sugar for the grit to scrub the dirt off.
'er Indoors gets reasonably testy with the fingerprints on the sugar bowl, though......

I use washing powder to wash my hands  wont mention the brand :?:

My favourite tool has to be my mobile phone. Its my diary, my map, my torch, my camera, my camcorder, my yellow pages,Thompson local, my games consul and my phone Ive probably forgotten something let me check my phone
Oh yes my computer too so I can read and post on here. Don't think I could live with out it now.
Knew it forgot to mention tv so never a dull moment, wish it could fix my car too  then I wouldn't need to wash my hands with washing powder

theres some motorcraft hand cleaner thats like wood pulp in a soap carrier, its blooming marvelous for cleaning hands, they used to have it at my old workplace, i should get some, its super!

Neoprene (I think that is the material) gloves. Get the thick ones and chuck out the Swarfega for ever. Less of a manly look, but no more violent hand scraping in the sink. I bought 12 boxes from an industrial safety supplier and will not go back........

Hi, I was given a tip by one of the fitters at work about latex gloves, that is never wear
them for more than 10 to 15 mins otherwise they fill up with sweat. Mind you he didn't
have to pay for them.
