Guys,
Looking to finally (Changing the chassis of my Land-rover has delayed me a bit) get the LT77 that i have had sitting around into my 3500s, as the 4-speed has had it.
Googling around for the bits I need - I was going to go down the non-self centering clutch route as this means I can use the P6 clutch cover, correct? Problem with this is that the steel bearing carrier on it's own is about £100.
I came across this today which is a bit cheaper, does the group have any idea on whether it would work? I thought that the early RV8 powered TVR's basically had SD1 running gear, so to me i think it should:
TVR Parts Ltd - Part Details - TVR 035Q 061A - Release bearing carrier
The bearing that goes with it is this (rounded profile to work with the straight fingers of the P6 clutch cover):
TVR Parts Ltd - Part Details - TVR Q0107 - Clutch release bearing
Otherwise I am down to going for a self-centering setup. Problem here is that I can't seem to find one! The Rimmer Bros site shows that GCC90247 has been superceded by RB7335P, however the picture for the linked part shows a clutch cover with straight fingers, even though the description is correct.
Any pointers greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
