LPG an 2000TC - any examples?

I need to justify the existence of my 2000TC, the only way I can do that is to make running her a lot less expensive.

Has anyone done an LPG conversion on one? I have asked my local LPG installer who said would be very difficult due to the lack of space between the carbs and the inner wing (they normally put a "thingy - non technical term!!) between the carb entry and the air filter housing. With those in place the filter housing would be nigh on impossible to fit.

I guess you could make a cover to replace the filter housing and then use a remote filter nearer the front of the bay. Similar to a modern engine.

Mmm a TC might be awkward - all the comments on the recent thread on LPG for a V8 apply here too. I like Richards idea - essentially you would need to seal the induction system to the carbs and then have a single mixer somewhere convenient at the front of the engine. But try and keep it as close to the carbs as possible. A completely different induction and filter system though. A trip to the local scrapyard might yield some ideas.
