Lowering P6 front suspension

Forgive me for being daft, please could someone advise on how to lower the front of a P6?
I have seen previous topics on this but cannot access the info for some reason. Does the "spring push rod" unscrew from the leg for shortening? I only want to lower a small amount, nothing too harsh. Could i "shorten the springs"??? Any help would be appreciated. I am new to this site so be kind!! Thank you
Glen

There's a couple of things to watch out for in shortening the rod, firstly you don't want the spring cup to end up hitting the strut, secondly don't forget that there is a ratio involved in the movement, i.e. cutting 1 inch off the rod probably won't lower the car 1 inch (although I'm not sure how much it would lower it), and thirdly lowering in this way means you end up with lower suspension that is just as soft and rolly as standard.

Lowered uprated springs would be better, I believe these are available but couldn't tell you where from, hopefully somebody else will let us know.

Thanks.
I suspect a small amount off the rod will result in a larger drop in the ride height. Do you reckon rods unscrew from the strut??
