hi im trying to find if these to rovers are still around for a friend,
series 1 rover reg no AWY 534 G
sd1 rover YVY 751R
any info would be good

Series 1 P6, DVLA has no record of it on its check site,so probably dead and gone or shipped out of the UK.
SD1 has not been taxed since 1985,so either scrapped,still locked away,or under a garden tree or shipped out of UK.
 
Hi thanks for that he did say it was a series 1 v8, so im guessing he may well be thinking of looking to get one again.
but if anyone knows there last movements please let me know

I have checked the club's records and can find no listing for either the S1 V8 or the SD1

the sd1 would probably have been built in the second half of 1976 (so a nice early one) as a turmeric yellow 3500 auto, but as pilkie said, it, like most sd1s, died before it's tenth birthday. hardly surprising when you think about the quality (or not) on the early cars :shock:
 
Hi thanks for the info i will pass it on, its funny that as he said they traded in the p6 for the sd1 and said the build quality was nt there and the p6 was the better car

as an enthusiast and owner of both (though i haven't got a p6 at the moment), i couldn't possibly comment. i blame the accountants.
 
hi yes i think your correct there, they should have been great cars, i remember seing a sd1 when they were new and firts came out, and as a boy i thought they were great cars
