lakeland all rover rally 2010

Do you need to book in advance? I might pop down for a look around and it would be a good chance for me to give my car a good run.

you have got to book in advance to get your car into the show, but if you google lakesrally and contact stuart you may be able to sort something out,you can always turn up on the day and just have a wander about, its a great show,i think i was talking to you at dalemain if i am not mistaking,i had the the green 2000 auto :D

Hope you guys have a good day, the lakes is always a nice one to get to.

I wont manage it this year due to other commitments but next year I will be there.....

Colin

I did indeed! Thanks for the heads up, I managed to get a caliper from him and got the car on the road about a week later. I'll probably pop down and just leave mine in the car park this year, but I'll see what I can do.

I may well be down at it, but I won't be able to bring my P6 as the exhaust fitting has been delayed to Wednesday next week unfortunately which means I can only really comfortably do short journeys at the moment.

hi all,wat a excellent show, despite the weather it was a brillian turnout, loads of really nice cars on show, this show is a must do for any rover enthusiast, here are some pics

Looked like a very good event for Rovers.

I couldn't make it as I was already booked into the Selkirk rally up this way. Better weather than you had there and 1500 vehicles of all types. Trucks, buses, cars, vans, motorbikes, cycles, steam engines, etc. Great day out and my local club won best stand too. Pictures to follow.

Well done on the trophies.

Dave

Welldone guys, I am sorry to have missed it. spent the weekend welding rusty arches.

Who won what then?

Colin

hi colin,the rover p6 class was as follows 1st B Barker 1967 2000 auto GCE 423E
2nd A King 1974 3500 auto RHW 410M
3rd B Barker 1975 3500s HLV 162P
I really didnt expect to get anything because there where so many nice cars,it was a big shock but i was also realy proud to have shown my cars there and getting a prize,i really enjoyed the day and would of still been as happy if i came away with nothing its the taking part, all in all a great day thanks :D :D :D :D

Looks like it was a good show. I really would have liked to have got to it, but unfortunately my car's distinct lack of an exhaust meant it wasn't possible unfortunately. Congratulations on the trophies! Having seen the green 2000 I can understand why! :D

looks great , especially the white v8 , wonder if the presence of so many badges in front of the grill ever contributes to any overheating, rich

This question has come up before and from my own experience of going from a clean grill to having a badge bar full of badges, it hasn't made a jot of difference. I suspect if your cooling system was marginal (which the V8s were) then any further impediment to the flow of air into the rad would lead to overheating ocurring sooner IMHO.
