hi can anyone suggest where i can get hold of the now discontinued rover p6b ILCO LF4 X13 key been all over and cant find a single one

A good old fashion key cutter.

What is this key for the ignition? I have never had any problem getting any keys.

Also a good cutter will be able to modify a similar key blank to suit.

LF sounds like a lowe and fletcher code. there are other suppliers like simca etc, try hardware shops too.

Most classic shows that have a good autojumble have a key man there with hundreds of ready made nos keys and blanks ready to cut.

Ian Wilson at Rover-Classics keeps almost all the door and boot keys ready cut. He also has stocks of genuine BL Ignition / Steering Lock key blanks (complete with the plastic/rubber finisher to the handle end) which you can then cut to match your existing one.

If Ian hasn't got what you need then try 'Coopers' in Chelmsford. They have been there since the dawn of time & can usually find what you need. Let me know if you get stuck & I'll dig out their number.

There is a very good iron mongers in Glasgow who have done odd keys for me called Crockets.

Just in the last year I got an ignition key for my SD1 cut at the local hardware shop, they have "mica" keys if that is any help.
