Anyone see Chop Shop ? It's a follow on from Bangla Bangers , Both being as tragic as each other , with Lepoo the Indian guy and Bernie the Sarf Londoner ( excuse me , my skins just crawled away ! ) They basically butcher classics and old motors in general in the name of customising and reality TV . Well i got caught up watching the Capri they built for Lawrence Dallaglio . Grudgingly i admit it looked o.k when done , although how many times has the RV8 into Capri been done ? Not exactly original eh !
However , what may be of interest to us . They showed a trailer of next weeks project . A P4 rover Gas Turbine replica they are building for Jules Holland . He is a total petrol head . If you can stand the manufactured hype and bull sh**e it may be worth a look ! :D

Come on Harvey , they're are some priceless bits . Like when they put a 4BRL Holley on the rover and tell us it now has 3 times the original power , then later when they've trashed it and started again and they tell us it has 190 BHP . Then they take it to an exhaust specialist and he explains the massive problem of running the two manifolds into two systems with the added hassle of them having to follow the contours of floor and axle whilst not being too loud , or too restrictive ! SOooo , that's why you took it to an exhaust builder !!!

That's normal modern TV rubbish, i am not surprised at all. :roll:
 
The Jet programme was on a few years ago & despite the show's many shortcomings, it looks pretty good in the end.

Considering that MGB swap in their other show, I suppose they might have used the actual JET 1 for some of the shots! :LOL: :LOL:
 
I saw that tonight or some of it when I wasn't asleep.
Its an annoying prog in many ways but there wasn't much else on.
I have been watching with great interest ,' worlds great motorcycle journeys'(its called something like that)
I haven't much interest in bikes but the show is really good!
the presenter also does the motorcycle show which knocks 'chop shop' into a hat!
why can, t we have a car show similar ?
Something a bit more grown up than chop shop
 
I watched half of the Jaguar E type programme some months ago and could stand no more. It was, without any doubt, the worst TV programme I have ever seen - drivel from start to finish , and dangerous drivel if seen by those with little knowledge. On the Jaguar one, bits were selected from a scrapyard skip - not jaguar parts, just anything that came to hand !
