THIS MAY BE A DAFT QUESTION BUT COULD I FIT JAGUAR LEATHER SEATS INTO A ROVER TC 2000 OR WOULD THEY HAVE TO BE MODIFIED? ???

Anything is Possible!
I once fitted some leather seats (dont know what they were from a mate had them lying around his garage) to my Mk1 escort, I just made up some spacers out of Plywood to get them level(ish) and bolted the whole lot together through the floors with some long bolts and big washers (It never failed an MOT on this, so I am assuming it was ok) the only problem was that you had to move the seat forward to adjust the back rest (not enough room to get your hand between the seat and the door pillar), and anyone wanting to get into the back had to climb over the front seats (they must have been from a four door car) oh and they were a differnet colour from the rears - not much you could do about that!

Theres a V8 Mk1 Cortina in this months practical classics. The guy has fitted Jag seats into that. (Looks good too)!

If they fit in a Cortina, they HAVE to fit in a P6!

Johnny. :D

Hi Peter,

The seats may fit but as the p6 is a narrow car the Jags may be a bit to wide. Get the measuring tap out.

The brackets that you mount the runners on can be removed and rewelded to suit so if you get them try and get the runners aswell.

The back seats are an individual type and rears may be harder to fit. It is also worth remembering that if you fit only front then you will end up with different colour and style ofr seats and of course the originality squad will remind you that you have fitted non rover seats just incase you forget.

I would take measurements from the p6 and compare them to the jag.
