Interesting '71 V8

Nick,
I thought that, but as the eventual purchase price would include a divorce, I cannot afford it
I was taken by the curry house carpet overlays too.

John.

1st car, see the engine lean on that? engine mount problems maybe?

2nd car, BW65 box?? shame there is no under bonnet photo.

PAE has that. Clive suggested i should just loosen the mounts and wrestle it into the correct position, nothing more complicated than that. Not done it yet though ;)
*edit* although PAEs engine leans the other way!

PAE will have the silly small engine mounts, they are available from Pierre in South London if you need them.

The engine lean in that pic is just the air cleaner not seated properly, look at the front of the rocker covers and you can see it's level. Still far too much of a late series 2 though.

I'd have probably left the dash top black and coloured matched the parcel shelf instead, but it looks good.

Yep spot on!

They look ok currently but good to know there's someone who does them!

Thanks,

Rich

I like the look of the Tobacco Leaf S1. Were chrome side strips fitted/available in 1970 (or have they been added or later panels fitted)? The combination of side strips, colour coded sills and S1 grille I like very much. Will save judgement on the carpet overlays though.

I must admit I was a tad disappointed at £1995.

This car is almost a spitting image of my own car 'Hazel' & I hope that an apparently sound Series 1 V8 would be worth more than £2k from a dealer. :?
