Inner Wing Vertical Panel - Replace or Patch?

I remove both front wings at the weekend from my '72 3500.
The vertical panel - "hockey stick" shape? needs patched. Am I better off shelling out £25.00 each + VAT + carriage and replace both or should I patch them?

I made up new ones from metal. as nobody can see them onces the wings are on.

If you don't have the skill or facilities I would buy the panels as it will save you hassle in the long run.
