Excellent responceThe switch can be bypassed, and doing so for the reverse lights is no problem. Bypassing the start side of the switch can also be done, but is a very bad idea, because, YOU WILL Forget, and end up starting the car in gear, with potentially fatal results. If you do decide to do it, just send me the registration number so I can make sure that I never go anywhere near it.
I like this idea!If you really must bypass the inhibitor then you could try wiring it with a relay through the brake light circuit so you need to be pressing on the brake pedal to allow the starter circuit to work.
The inhibitor has started working again ok so fingers crossed. Thanks for the reply. Wes.I like this idea!
