in need of a picture of a genuine P6 aerial

Hi Rudiger,
Is it a roof aerial?
It's called radiomobile if yes.
Can post you one tomorrow when I go to my other garage.
Regards.
Clive.

Thanks Vern.
Good pictures.
As far as I know these were the only roof aerials fitted.
A few years back there was a repro type made, the base was made from rubber and not the hard plastic and main scew holding both halves together was small Phillips.
RPS selling one on Ebay at moment.

Thought I would post a picture of gen and repro aerials, they are about as close as you can get to the radiomobile ones.
Not seen for many years NOS originals.

My aerial is original and has a spring back at the base .And the way I drive it get used all the time when reversing into my Carcoon.

Couple of pics of mine in situ on a late series 1 1970.

Note that I've seen two different types of ball on the aerial tip, both seem to be shown in the pics. The round ball in my pics and a oblong one. I seem to recall the oblong one was hexagonal too, but without digging up some more examples in the crawlspace I'm not sure. For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure the aerial in my pics came off a 67 car.

Yours
Vern

Ive got a few of these not all have good bases as the hard plastic cracks.
Not all of mine have the same tip , possible the masts could have been replaced over the years.
Regards.
Clive.
