HS8 Needle number

Does anyone know the original SU identification number for the main jet needles on Twin HS8 carbs as fitted to a 1972 TC without emmision control?

Despite lots of work on the needle lathe I still can't quite get mine perfect with the Pipercross filter and cam mods.

Finally I discovered that I have two different needles and on further examination it appears that my rear carb has been replaced at some time. Although both jets are the same the needles are different which I can't think is right.
 
Having had a look in the book there appears to be 3 needles and 2 sizes of jet, that's 2 needles for a 0.1" jet and they are U1 and AAA according to engine number ranges, U1 being the earlier fitment,and for the latest engine number ranges a 0.090" jet with an AAB needle. All the piston springs appear to be the same.
