Hook type choke knob/cable

Due to my inability to gauge the strength in my left hand, I have broken my knob  . As a two piece knob is of no use to anybody, and applying the choke by snipe nosed Vise Grips is not an acceptable solution, has any one got a hook type choke contol/cable they wish to exchange for folding pictures of good Queen Bess the 2nd. I've tried Rover Classics as previously advised to no avail. Just a hook knob on a bit of cable would be a start, then I could get my super bodging power to work it's magic.

Cheers John.

Hi John.

Cant supply you a replacement knob as I only have the spares ones for each car!!
It is a pain when you cant get it out easily!
All I can advise is when you do get another to use plenty of lubricant before you attempt to slide it in and out,and check your outer sheath isnt kinked!
They are out there, just got to be lucky and find the right person with an extra knob to hand that they dont use anymore!

Good hunting.

Cheers Pilkie,

Full lube up intended on the replacement. I have just received an email from someone who has one, I am arranging to sell my kidneys at the moment to pay for it!! (actually I'm joking, not a bad price). When I got the car I realised it was stiff and was on the job to do list, it got a quick silicone spray to ease it a bit as a stopgap and rerouted the correct way over the airbox, then I locked my big left paw on it a month later and ...OOOPS. I have just to finish wiring in the newly aquired Square 8's (fuse box end, but I wasn't climbing in all oily) then fit the tow bar and spring do-nuts then old girl will be ready for an in depth wax job. It's never ending on these P6's, now I know why most cars have female names.
