The DVLA record shows it hasn't been taxed since 1983. Usually the reason is because it may have been scrapped......not definite though. Unless you know different of course

The owner of any car such as this can write to DVLA for a full record of previous owners. I did this with mine and got photocopies of the previous owners logbooks with names and addresses.

Yes, but the DVLA will give you all the previous owners. It's a nice thing to have when compiling a history file on a car.. same with the Heritage Cert.

all i know is a bloke in barnsley had it till 83 from almost new (ex demo ),then the second owner rescued it in 198os and darkholed it in a garage
,then it passed through the hands of a few collectors,but seems was never taxed.
previous 2 keepers have moved on,no contact is available-original keeper is a long time pushing up daisies by looks of things.
