Hinges for estate - Which car are they from?

Does anyone know where the hinges used on the rear hatch of the estate conversion came from. Mine is the later model with the external hinges. They are very badly worn and the mazak castings have deteriorated to the point where there is not much left to be salvaged. Not to mention a broken stud.

I'll take some pictures tommorow and post them as there is an emblem and part no's on the inside that may be familiar to someone.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as they are starting to worry me!

Could someone tell me whether the links to the pictures work? I'm having trouble with the geocities site at the moment. If not I'll post them on the website proper.

Thanks

Many thanks John. Must be done by geocities to stop people using their site to host pictures displayed on other sites?

Anyway you can see the pictures if you click this link

Hinges!!

Hope someone has some ideas.

Bennet,
I don't recognise them, perhaps one of our experts on the Estourer can provide some info. (An ex-employee of FLM Panelcraft would be good!) I cannot believe that they had a batch cast especially for them if there was something already "on the shelf" that they could use.
Good Luck and regards, John.

Thought you might be interested to know i've identified the hinges..... MG Y type saloon boot hinges!!

Why on earth these were used I don't know but they are definately the same. I've sent the measurments to their club spares officer and he's checked them against an original example. The only problem is there £115 a pair if and when they get them in stock.

Have to have a rethink....

If thats too expensive, have you tried speaking to funeral car coachbuilders?

At the end of the day, herses are the same sort of adaption!

Colman Milne in Westhoughton or Eagle specialists (again in Westhoughton (Bolton)) are two that I can think of locally.

Johnny. ;)
