I just told her a big NO to fluffy dice!!
Hi Guy.Having just seen the pics my question about the single carb being fitted still has been answered, Looks like you will be busy for a bit I had to do a bit on mine last year and fabricated the bits I needed from sheet steel of cuts that I got from a local steel worksView attachment 9040
In the manual it says my tyres should be inflated to 50-60 lbs psi.
Thank you for that. I will adjust to your values.I doubt that. F26 R28
Are the tyres old? That often causes them to feel heavy!Hi Guy.
I have got a bit of a puzzler. In the manual it says my tyres should be inflated to 50-60 lbs psi. On the tyre it say the tyre maximum is 40lbs psi. I have inflated them to 36 and the ride seems really spongy and steering is heavy. Can you please advise me? Many thanks in advance.
As you can see I have started a project thread on here. I know the welds aren't pretty to look at but they definitely do the job. Lol.
Cheers, Steve

Might bump in to you in the summer!! Born and bred just outside of Lowestoft in Carlton and will be heading back from Kent in the Rover to see the family. Wave if you see us!!
I spent most of today sorting some bits out on the doors. I finished taking the remaining 2 door cards off on front offside and rear nearside. As I have been taking them off I have noticed that the 2 nearside and the front offside were pretty wet on the bottom 3rd of the card.. But on the offside rear door the card was wet right over the whole card. I know this will be due to the scraper seals being perished. A friend came up with the idea of me buying a sheet of hardboard and remaking them myself. I'll have a look around as to much the cards will be to replace and also the price of an 8'x4' sheet of hardboard. Think I know what the cheaper option is! My son and I have also had to lift the doors as they had all dropped. Fortunately none of the hinge pins were seized.
I mentioned before about my SIP 105 mig welder not being man enough. After speaking to a friend who is professional welder, it has been suggested it could well be my earth wire not making contact properly and to try changing that first. So I guess that's me sorted tomorrow! As my son goes back to sea tomorrow things are definitely gonna be slowed down till he comes home.
My wife has just said she wants to name our P6 'Minstrel' as in Black & White Minstrels, because the car is B&W. Lol
- iirc it's 28 front and 26 at the back...
Hi RobAny joy with the door cards? Sure there are plenty of other jobs higher on your list!
Just looking at re-making door cards for all four on HOT. The freezing weather drove me indoors, so made a start on cutting vinyl for front doors. Have some vinyl in "antique red", described as having a grain effect. It is really rather bright, but willing to try one door to see how it goes with the black seats.
Any advice on which hardboard to use? My brother offered to cut 4mm ply but now think this will be too thick, and heavy.
