hello

I am a mechanical engineering student, i am keen on messing around in cars restorations etc and love rovers at the minute i have a 45 but after uni i feel a P6 would be fun.

i have recently seen a p6 that needs a bit of welding and is a bit rough round the edges but otherwise fairly sound, i know it is hard to judge without seeing the car but what sort of price range would be fair?

Welcome !

A P6 would be a great learning tool, there's some really interesting engineering on them which you won't find in a modern car. If you have space, get yourself one of the "free to a good home" cars that come up, and start playing. You'll need a MIG welder as a first tool, P6's have a nasty habit of being rotten whilst looking perfect.

Loads of good information on the forum, have a good look around and don't be afraid to ask questions.
