Hi all, i have a 4th month 1976, P6, its a New Zealand built one, in Bitter Apricot, some Kudos must go to the last 2 owners who have kept it very well, drives beautiful, ive always wanted one, i used to Paint these, as a young aprrentice in the early 1980's, im still painting so at some stage she will get a respray, does have a Holley carby underneath, and im sure those bonnet scoops, are to keep it cool in Adelaides hot weather, im curious it has a Britax ragtop, was this a factory option, we can buy in South Australia classic R and S type number plates, so i purchased new ones.IMG_20160807_182203.jpg

Hi and welcome Andy, nice colour, nice window tints as well by the looks of it, and the sd1 alloys suit very well. Let me know if you sourced the wheel nuts for these, I'm struggling to find off the shelf wheel nuts to suit the holes for mine. And look forward to more pics, don't know if the Britax was a factory option, others may have more knowledge on this.

Hi Scott, wheel nuts came with the car, im sure somewhere you could find some, im sure someone here would have some.

A P6 down under - brilliant! Hope it copes OK with the hot weather (even with the bonnet scoops). Keep an eye on that temperature gauge - maybe fit an electric fan too! Enjoy your car.

Have you joined the Rover Club of South Australia? They are a good bunch. I am a member, and I have a Rover 2000 automatic in Adelaide.

Welcome to the forum, nice P6. interesting bonnet scoop :) I've got one as well but a bit more period correct. Its from our XY GT's with a number of modifications to make it fit correctly.

Welcome Andy from a Melburnian currently in Cairns.
Nice looking car, is it air conditioned ?
I have a spare bonnet with flutes, series 2,for summer use on my series 1.though with an electric fuel pump summer temperatures are no longer a problem

Hi Mike, its not a air conditioned one, it does have a electric fuel pump, near the tank, ive also put thermo fans, im quite lucky it has Britax sunroof, so here in Adelaide you can have it open most of the time, my temp gauge normally sits just above 80, although i do get nervous driving it in 40 plus degrees, its good there seem to be a lot of well kept rovers in Australia.
