Headlining clean-up - anyone got any recommendations?

The headlining in my 1965 SC could do with a clean. It feels like a kind of oil cloth, but I'm not sure what the best proprietory stuff for getting out 39 years' grime would be. I tend to go for Autoglym products purely on reputation, but I'd be glad of any advice.

Vanish soap bar is very good! I used it to clean all the tan vinyl in my Jensen and the buckskin leather in my Rover(before feeding it of course)

Got to be worth a try hasn't it? just compare the prices!

I have to agree with Bennet on this one the vanish soap bar is a miracle worker, make sure you dry the headlining completely though or you may get rust stains coming through from the frame
