head lights - with parking pilot

After replacing sealed beam units with H4 outer and H1 inner:

Does is matter if the outer head lights have a pilot bulb holder?
Is it important for MOT?

I wanted just to check, that I am not swapping the old headlights
for a new problem.

You can get them without the side light hole, but leaving them empty is fine - never had a problem with mine

Why not fill the hole with an extra sidelamp? Can't have too many lights on a car these days for all the numpties around to avoid you!

I finally installed the H4 and H1 headlights!

I can ware my shades all day now. 8)

It is great!
