iHi All,
Dave from near Wellington, New Zealand.
I recently purchased a 72 P6B 3500, auto after owning a couple of Hillman Hunters.
Im using the car as a weekender and finding it great. She was a cheap affordable classic and it's GREAT to own a V8 after a gap of 25 yrs between them.
I've already found some useful info on here, the main one being to turn the nozzle round at the gas station so the pump doesn't keep auto stopping :) .
Keen to convert her to a manual at some stage so I'll be actively searching out info.
Any way, great to be a part of the community 'raises glass of amber liquid'
Cheers

Welcome to this great online community Dave, I am sure you will appreciate the Rover after the Hunters, I endured a hunter for many years

:D Cheers Graeme, good to see someone else from NZ here. I have a sister in St Albans down there.......I get there maybe once or twice a year.
The car is a good change, but there is a bit of minor stuff to do to it.
Cheers

There are quiet a few NZer's on here, what with NZ (Nelson) being the manufacturing base for Rovers in the southern hemisphere.
This forum loves photos of Rovers no matter what state they might be in so if you are able to then post a few up of your Rover.

Hi Dave

I am based in Lower Hutt, I have a while SII 3500 which is my daily drive, I`ll look out for another P6 around. If you are interested, the British Car Day at Trentham in Upper Hutt is about 3 weeks away.

Cheers

Hello Dave
Another P6 owner here from Godzone . Ive been offline for a few months and am only picking up threads .
I found these guys on here exceptional in helping you keep your P6 alive and useable .
Ive done a few upgrades to the motor and suspension - all with these blokes nursing me along .
They love an owner to give-itago and will wade in with all the support you need if you get yourself buried in grease .
Photo's are all they ask . Before and after and all the ones in-between .
Gerald

Hi James,

I'll be there at British Car Day.
I'll be with the Retro on Wheels group. Quite an assortment of cars in the group. Mine's the only Rover, colour blue.
Will keep an eye out for you.
Cheers

Hi Gerald...
I do a lot of my own work on cars.....the hard part with the Rover is getting my head around the different suspension and diff set up.
Even finding a workshop manual has turned into a chore lol
Fortunately all seems sound so far.
The posts on here are incredibly helpful.
Happy motoring :D

Hi Dave,

Yes, at first, getting used to the suspension setup can take some time!

If you're struggling to find a factory Workshop Manual, they're available on CDROM from the RP6 Club at a very low price. Also includes the Parts Catalogue which is incredibly useful, showing how everything fits together.

About 1/2-way down the page http://www.p6club.com/content/regalia

Good luck with your car! :)

Stan
