Hello fellow Rover drivers,

i recently bought a fantastic Rover P6 3500 V8 (1971) from a friend here in Germany. The car is in fantastic condition, 55.000 km from new, one previous registered owner in switzerland. The colour is mexico brown. I am looking forward to get new contacts and technical advice regarding my new baby. My other classic is a MGB GT from 1969. Unfortunately the Rover P6 is widely unknown these days in Germany, there is not much of a "Rover scene" to speak of (very much unlike the MG scene). Therefore I really appreciate any help I can get to make my new family member perfect...

A warm welcome to you. Your newly acquired Rover does indeed sound nice. Do please post some photos when you have some that you would like to share.

I second that it does indeed sound a lovely P6 that you've got yourself there. I'm sure we'll all do our best to help if you have any quieries or problems (not too many of those though hopefully!) I'd love to see a photo or two of it also when you can.

Ich bin stolze besitzer zwei solche Autos in Berlin, der eine ist gerade völlig auseinander genommen zwecks ausführliche Renovation, der andere betrachte ich als Teilträger. Vieleicht suchen Sie irgend welche Ersatz Teile die ich anbieten kann? Gerne helfe ich mit Rat und Tat, wenn Sie nicht zu weit von Berlin entfernt sind.

Hello Olaf and welcome to the club. Where in Germany are you? I'm the proud owner of two such vehicles, in Berlin. I'm rebuilding one, which is currently completely dismantled and undergoing a restoration. The other is a source of spare parts. If there are any parts you're looking for, perhaps I can help. I'm happy to assist with advice, or even practical help if you're not too far away.

thank you for the offer, I am located in Paderborn, approx. 430 km from Berlin. Right at the moment I need no parts, but I may come back to you in the near future if i need any.
