Hello Classic-Rover comunity!

My Name is Simon, I am from Austria. I live in the "heart of the alps" in Tyrol and i am hopefully a proud owner of a Rover P6 3500S in a few days...

I am a silent reader in this forum since a few years, allways wanted to buy a P6 and now I going to do that if the car is worth it price on next weeks tuesday.

Of course i will post pics and create a thread on my project.
I have one "role model" in here... that is damianZ28 with his absolutly asthonishing interpretation of a sporty 3500S.

I already checked out:
- good looking wheels
- New Tires
- work that has to be done with the worn out camshaft
and
- a 1973 3500 to cannibalize near my hometown

I happy to be in here
and i am happy to become a Rover owner

best regards
Simon

Hi, I'm in neighbouring Switzerland. I've seen at least a dozen cars on the roads here in the last decade or so. Good luck with the car!

Hello Peter!

I never saw one driving. Even on oldtimer events.
But Switzerland is always a bit Special. There are a lot of brands driving around that are quite unique in Austria or Germany.
Subaru for example. You dont see them that often in Austria.
There are also more gasoline cars, in Austria there is a real diesel-hype.

I did it!
I am now a Owner of a orange Rover P6 3500S from 1976.
Technically the car is okay and driveable, the interior needs work an refresment.
I will introduce my project in a new thread in the next days, with pics of course. I hope you can help me offering parts and spares to make the P6 a nice car again.

For spares i have the possibility to buy an old 3500 automatic near my hometown to canibalize.
Maybe i just buy the parts (whole interior) or i take the whole car.
Because i do not need all the parts i would sell the rest (including the V8 engine) and the automatic transmission for a good offer to someone who takes the car away with a trailer.

Is someone interested?
Pictures of the 3500 to canibalize, and mine will be shown in a new "Project" thread.
