Goodwood visit

Sunday morning we set off at 5 AM in the dark and poring with rain, arrived early and grabbed a space under cover out of the rain. Waiting for friends to arrive I managed two "vegie burger" rolls and coffee that set me up for a good look around. first impressions were very clean and tidy with plenty of signs and good marshalling. Amazed at the quantity of cars that arrived and filed out the place, mostly Astons Jags and Ferraris, a few American hot rods and straight resto-rods together with a ( not triumph )Spitfire two seater. We saw only one other p5 but couldn't find the owner and after getting drenched decided to leave and head for home. Best car for me was a modified Ford 100e, but caught sight of a Lagonda, quite a rare car now and not surprising with all the dodgy digital electronics they had, and weighing in a nearly 3 tonne, quite thirsty too.
