Being a pair of poseurs from way back, Jacqui and I try to get from home in New Zealand to the Revival every couple of years.

(As proof of poseur status, here’s us with the 3500S, posing as 1970s old persons - my avatar on this forum, I realise...:

Jacqui's Mum in England has a birthday early in September, and thinks we base our trips around that event; please don't tell her otherwise.

As Jacqui's a motoring writer with a specialty in vintage and classic cars, she's been a guest of well-known British manufacturers to this event in the past, but these days we go under our own steam.

COVID buggered up the last couple of years, but we have tickets for all 3 days this year.

Who else from this forum might be going?

Or maybe we're the only poseurs....

We have been to every Revival and will be going this year, no Rover this time though.
Our chariots have been,
Aston DB9 ( Borrowed from a friend for the weekend )
BRA 289 Cobra replica
Lotus Elan +2S130
Rover P6 Race car Homage.
Several AS Motorsport DBR1 cars driven to Goodwood for the event for display.
It is still a wonderful event, I would not miss it.

I saw some footage over on Mr Millyard's channel from last year's event. Looks like a good day out. I'm afraid if I was going in my 70's clobber it would be a Tank Top, Ben Sherman, Lionel Blairs and Platforms and that was before Punk kicked in.

Cobraboy, that’s a good variety of bolides to turn up in.

One of Jacqui’s cousins has marshalled there often, and his Bentley 3 1/2 and Wolseley Hornet have been both on display and transport to and fro.

As for the time Rolls-Royce was the car brand sponsor, and Jacqui was their guest: they chauffeured her in one of their pre-‘66 cars to the Goodwood Revival Ball! She also got to drive one of their stately mansions on wheels around the track, though she abstained from attempting any real pace.

Life there with me is strictly on foot.

I chatted with Mr Millyard last year, and he kindly started up the flying Millyard for me, lovely man and so clever.

Ha ha.
The only time I driven on Goodwood tarmac is in a 4x4 truck towing a race shuttle on build up day, my times were not great !
