Good mechanic

Hi. I have a 3500Auto and have a problem with either the gearbox, torque converter.... Anyway, I'n not a mechanic and most simple maitenance jobs are OK but fort this I really need a good mechanic. I live in the West London/Hounslow/Twickenham area. Can anyone recommend a good garage or mechanic.
The symptons are: occassional grating sound on take off. At 2000 -2500 revs power drops and the only way to get it back is to brake and then accelerate again at which point the power picks up.

I don't know if they are still there but try Cox & Buckles in Wimbledon; they are something of a P6 specialist. I had them do my front shocks when I was new to P6s a few years back. Very reasonable hourly rate and they did it while I waited. I only used them once but I would recommend.
