What is the length of the lever for a Series II 2000 TC - (chassis no. 449-02892-C, build date 16 December 1972)? The parts number (from RTC 9021A) is 571934.
Thanks - Bengt Lydell, Fallbrook (CA), USA

I would like to add - and this is for the member with detailed knowledge of the subtle (?) differences between the gearboxes for the Series 2 2000TC, 2200TC and 3500S. The gear lever length differs for the 2000TC and 2200TC. What about the 3500S relative to the 2000/2200TC? - Bengt Lydell, Fallbrook, CA, USA

I can't tell you the length of the gearstick. What I can say is that the length changed towards the end of 1973 (October?). The later ones are longer.

As far as I know you can fit any one depending on your preference. I fitted a short stick to our 22OOTC as I prefer them. Depends how worried you are about originality.

I'll have to remember that for the concours judging, get the tape measure out.

I can see the arguments now "I'm sorry sir but I had to mark the car down 10 points due to the gearstick being too short"

:D

In the (insert a word here)-retentive (... :;): ) world of pebble beach style concours judging it would matter a great deal, I'm sure. Still! If that's your bag......... :D
