With regards to the fuel vapourisation you blokes in the UK are experiencing, I have had no problems at all and I live in Cairns (tropical) where ambient emp. is often 29-33 deg. celsius. The fuel pump is electric, lives down the back near the fuel tank, and is original equipment. (1976 3500).
As you can imagine, the engine temp.rises a bit but no vapour probs. Keep the water galleries clear.
