front calipers not releasing

Can anyone point me in the right direction as what to try next, basically my front n/s caliper has been locking on, I naturally assumed that it was the caliper itself therefore replaced it with a reconditioned unit. However it is still doing it, so I replaced the hose and checked there is no blockage up to the valve. Still no good. I then noticed that the drivers side is also dragging (not as bad though). I reconditioned the master cylinder some time ago - all seemed fine, piston moving tidy.
This takes me to the servo unit and the balancing valve, both which I have now removed from the car. Is there any way of working out what the problem is?
Any help would be appreciated.

Release the pressure at different points gradually moving away from the affected caliper each time you get the problem and eventually you'll undo a pipe somewhere that doesn't release the pressure, and that's the point at which you've just passed the cause of the problem. Easy to do if you can get the fault just by pumping the pedal.

Mmm that was my thinking but it took me to the servo unit which Im not familiar with how it works. However, it seems I may have some egg on face as this afternoon Ive solved the problem by adjusting the pedal height  it dawned on me whilst at work this morning. Thanks for your response, all's well that ends well!
