Friday night p6 spot

Glad the spot is back.
Never saw that before - quite impressive and scary to see a P5 being chucked about like that. I wonder how the P5B rally car would compare to something like a Volvo Amazon (struggling to think of any other popular 60s rally cars that were as big and heavy as a P5B)? Maybe a Wolseley 6/110? :D
PRobably a Jaguar MkVII is similar in size, although that is from the 50's. One won the 1956 Monte Carlo Rally with Ronnie Adams at the wheel.

The NL P5B is most impressive but I just can't get my head round that crudely jacked-up rear suspension.
It can't be a pukka competitiom car?
Surely no responsible scrutineer would pass that?
John

AAHHH lovely . intoxicating sound . I wonder how a person works their life out to indulge to that extent :? :? :D :D

Quite enjoyed that compilation (with the volume turned down though  ). Thanks Stina.

Nice little video that. Cracking car, and great photography (cinematography/videography?). Like the funky jazzy soundtrack too. That sets the bar rather high for video car portraits, doesn't it!?

I believe Matt's branching out into doing these, as well as his celebrated classic vehicle photography, so we can expect more.

As Whispering Bob would say........ nice.
Lovely pristine S1 and a video that I think I could watch over and over.
Also, quite interesting to see P6 suspension at work on the road wheels.

Hi

Watched Columbo the other night, an episode called Dagger of the Mind from 1972. It had a nice S1 in white which features quite heavily and a S2 near the end. As well as lots of street shots of early 70`s London motoring which is always entertaining.

Worth a watch .

Cheers

Wow , that's a brilliant link , are there any more , are there , are there , please ! more of the same :D :D
