FREE CAR IN DERBYSHIRE AREA ??? - WHERE IS ANTHONY COTTRILL?

I have been contacted by a member who wants to give away his car (preferably before next weekend) and has tried telephoning the RO but the number, as printed in P6 NEWS, is incorrect.
If anyone has the correct 'phone number for Anthony Cottrill or wants a FREE car (no details I'm afraid) then get in touch ASAP with contact details and I'll get this member to contact you directly.

Thanks for the phone call.

I rang the gent last night to enquire about the car. He said that the road was being resurfaced outside of his address and he wouldnt be able to move the car out of the garage for two months!!

The gent sounds quite elderly and seems somewhat confused. I may leave this one and er on the cautionary side. He seems unsure about the matter and I think it would be unfair to take property from him under the circumstances.

He 'phoned and left a message on my answerphone last night to ask for your number as he wanted to phone you to say come and get it before Balfour Beatty start digging his road!
Might be worth a visit. He told me earlier last night that it was a '71 2200 in Mexico Brown with box-pleat Buckskin leather with 62,000 miles and hasn't been out of the garage for two years!
Go and see it, you know you want to! (I do!)

I have been today. 80 year old gent who bought the car as a retirement present to himself in 1980.

A lovely man and well worth the visit. The car is a real cracker.

Will send photos once I pick it up next week.
