Like I said, I've never worked on them, and unless the VIP's had the same system, I've never driven one either (apart from a dual line 2200TC, but that had twin servos, which according to the book the V8 system doesn't have, so is different anyway. Brakes didn't give any cause for concern on that one.) but I can't see any reason why if it's all set up as it should be there should be any difference to the single line system. There are lots of other cars with dual line systems, and it doesn't seem to be a problem with them. That said I've heard other people making the same comments about it as you have.
