My 2200 final drive has a lot of backlash although it runs quietly and no oil leaks. Car has a tow-bar and I think it was used for a lot of caravan towing in the past. It is auto g/box so this makes the starts and downshifts extra clunky. I have a good 2000 spare final drive with 'as built' backlash. I know it does not have the beefed-up-4-pinion diff. but is it dimensionally interchangeable with 2200 final drive. I won't exactly be hammering it to the design torque limit these days !
