Hi, I have eventually managed to get myself onto this site so I can tell you a little about my P6 which I bought 18 months ago. It is a 1968 P6 V8 first registered on May 2nd. 1968 ... which just happened to be my 21st. birthday! Mileage 61 K verifiable by MOT`s etc. and I have the full history which came with the car. It was bought from the Classic and Sportscar Centre ... previously known as Grundy Mack. This is a really reliable company so I "did the deal" by phone/e-mail and they transported the car to me here in Llandudno and took my M.G. Midget back in part exchange. It is Arden green with a sandalwood interior, condition is good ... getting better! The paint was refreshed last December and I have sourced some improved chrome bits and pieces .... I am wary of doing too much as it is a 44 year old car and therein lies the attraction. Only essential repairs have been a heater fan and water pump which my excellent local garage fitted for me ... I am zero at mechanicals. The leather I have treated with Scuffmaster and it now looks really good.
Now the weather is picking up we are looking forward to having some good days out with the car (Clive) is his adopted name!

Oh, that sounds fantastic! What a great colour combination and so early! It must be one of the very oldest surviving P6B's?

Have you got any pics of it?

I hope you enjoy him. And welcome to the forum!
Michael

Looks nice. ISTR someone on here snapped a pic of that out and about somewhere, or one very similar with a very similar reg number.

Nice to see you on the Forum, your car is beautiful, if you search on FEK on the Forum I'm sure you'll find previous discussion. She's the lowest numbered car known to exist now.

Cheers
Nick

Welcome. If I remember rightly yours is the only well known one which is older than PAE!

Good morning, we actually live in Llandudno ... Queen of the Welsh resorts ... and today is St. David`s Day !!! The pics were taken just a few miles down the way at Rhos-on-Sea where we often walk our pooch. The car is only used locally and never when it rains, it really is a hobby car.It replaced an M.G. Midget which proved nigh on impossible to get in and out of in our advancing years ... that replaced a Daimler V8 250 which in turn replaced a Vanden Plas 1300. A nice old car would appear, to me at least, better than cash im the bank (some hope of that these days).
Anyway, there you go, we really do enjoy the car, especially the pooch who is a bit of a car snob!!

Welcome to the forum brynrosa123

Lovely looking early Three Thousand Five, great colour too :D

I think we need a photoshoot of Clive and PAE as the oldest known V8 P6s, or perhaps a photoshoot of Clive with Mark Gray's VVC :?:

Thanks for all the comments. To be honest I feel a bit of a fraud as everyone else appears to be fettling or taking their cars apart whilst all we do is drive him! I have contacted the chap in Germany and he has kindly put a photo of Clive on his web-site. I have never had a semi-famous car before, although he does get noticed wherever we go. Usually "my dad had one of those"! So did mine, not a V8 but a 2000 then a 2200, both automatics as they were company cars. They in turn had replaced a P5 110, great car but it did make my better half feel sea-sick ... very green inside which didn`t help!
Regards to all from a very sunny and warm N.Wales.

all we do is drive him!

That's what all the fettling is in aid of surely :D Nothing wrong with that. If PAE didnt need fettling i too would just drive...

Would be great to get PAE and Clive together at some point!

Rich.
