Factory front springs

So, reading the ROM I find that the front springs for a manual steer car are 413.5mm free length compared to 434.8mm for a power steer car. Both have the same rate. Is this a quick and eay way to get a near one inch drop at the nose on a power steer car? If so, what are the spring rates and free length measurements for a four cylinder car?

Regards, Andrew.

After a quick look in the book, 2200's use the same spring as the non-PAS V8,

early 2000's (prior to suffix "B") have 419mm free length and the same rate as above, 170lb/in,

later 2000's (suffix "B" onwards) have a 444mm free length and a lower rate of 150lb/in.

Thanks, I need to drop the front of my car a little to match the rear, no point bringing the rear higher on a P6, they have too much clearance as it is!

Regards, Andrew.
